We are a combination fire department with a paid chief and maintain a roster of 25 volunteers. We provide an “all-hazards” response to the citizens of Centre and the surrounding areas of Cherokee County. We maintain automatic aid agreements to assist with calls in the areas surrounding Centre. We have been assigned a Class 4 ISO hazard rating. We also provide fire and life safety education to the schools located within the city limits and various other organizations with our three Public Fire and Life Safety Educators.
